3/26: Graduate Student Brown Bread Bake-Off

The Harvard in 1776 Project invites you to participate in our upcoming brown bread bake-off!

Boston brown bread has been a New England classic since the seventeenth century, and we’re excited to try our hand at making this dish alongside many of you. Interested in the history of brown bread? Want a recipe to work from? Please see below, along with our bake-off flyer.

If you want to participate, sign up at the link below and bring your best brown bread loaf to the “Remembering the Revolution—Siege of Boston” Symposium reception at 6 PM on Thursday, March 26, in the Robinson Hall Great Space. We’ll set up a tasting table for reception participants to try all the loaves and vote for their favorite. All participants will receive a prize, with the largest prize going to the winner.

If you want to participate, sign up here!
